About me

After earning a dual degree in mental health and substance abuse treatment, I began to work with clients who were recovering from opioid abuse and co-occurring disorders. This gave me the unique capacity to help clients not only with addiction, but also trauma, stress, depression, low self-confidence, guilt & shame, anger, and anxiety among many other issues. In addition to general counseling services, I am seasoned in working with process addictions such as shopping, video gaming, Internet, exercise, gambling, and sex and love addictions.

I have worked with many clients in the LGBTQIA community and value diversity for others and myself. I have the knowledge and skills to work with clients who struggle with sexual identity and help emotionally work through many issues that arise as a result of sexual trauma, grief or dysfunction. I also work with many clients who open and/or non-monogamous relationships. I believe that acceptance and empowerment is the foundation of this work.

I use my accumulated skills to help you identify what is holding you back and how your past helps you identify your strengths to achieve the life you want. I can use a variety of approaches to fit your needs.

Although we have just started I feel that she is definitely connected with me so she can best determine what direction of therapy will best help me

Written on Dec 11, 2024 after therapy with Linda for 2 weeks on issues concerning depression, stress, anxiety, addictions, relationship issues, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, sleeping disorders, parenting issues, self esteem, coping with life changes, and compassion fatigue

Linda is the first therapist I have ever had and I couldn’t be more grateful. I love the advice she gives and her willingness to listen to what I have to say as well as how easy it is to schedule an appointment with her. When I signed up for BetterHelp I was a bit scared about what was to come because I never really thought therapy would help me and I didn’t know how doing therapy online would work, but now that I’ve been signed up for almost 2 months I’ve realized that just having someone to talk to and explain what I’m going through has truly been amazing. I always feel like I am annoying my friends when I try to talk to them, or I worry that they don’t want to have to deal with my problems, but therapy has relieved me of that feeling and I believe has made my friendships even stronger. My friends, family, and doctor recommended I started therapy and even though I felt I didn’t need it, I am so glad I did it! Linda being my first ever therapist has really set my standard high for any other therapist I encounter!

Linda is compassionate while also being pragmatic. She is supportive when needed and willing to ask the hard questions when needed. I really appreciate having her on my life team.
