Lindsay Miller, LISW-CP
About me
I am a licensed independent social worker in South Carolina, with 9 years of counseling experience. My experience has included providing direct counseling support to individuals and families struggling with mental health needs. Throughout my experience I have worked with clients from a wide range of ages, backgrounds, cultures, faiths, and identities. I am LGBTQ+ affirming. Most of my work comes from helping people who have presenting concerns to include depression, anxiety, trauma, mood disorders, psychotic spectrum disorders, and those with co-occurring substance use disorders. I have worked in both outpatient and inpatient psychiatric settings throughout my career thus far. I have a passion for helping others, and in my free time I enjoy volunteering with a local food pantry as well as with an organization that helps to serve individuals who are struggling with homelessness.
My counseling style combines being caring, compassionate, and direct. I want to create an environment where you feel safe and validated. I also want to try to be that voice of reason to help you process through a difficult situation. I am most trained and fluent in providing cognitive behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. My goal is to meet you where you are at, and create a collaborative relationship that empowers you to navigate through the challenges that life presents.
If you feel that you are ready to commit to change and would like support in achieving that, you have come to the right place for help. This is a big journey and you have so bravely taken the first step to start your new path.
I am looking forward to meeting you!

Lindsay has been amazing. I have been nervous about therapy for a long time due to a horrible experience I had in childhood. I was able to express that to Lindsay and she was able to make a personal connection with me on the hesitation. I used to fear therapy and now I look forward to my sessions with her. She has been amazing, supportive and there when I need her most

Lindsay has helped me through the toughest year of my life, and I know that I would have gotten through it without her, but not nearly as intact as I was able to with her. She is fantastic. She calls you out when you are trying to make excuses for yourself, leads you down the path instead of just telling you the answer....she is a credit to your industry.
