Welcome one and all!
Let me introduce myself. I am Lisa. I'm a mother of four and grandmother of five. All exceptionally wonderful souls! I have lived a diverse life since leaving the nest in 1984 and serving my first tour of duty in the U.S. Army. I am a 14 year veteran with combat experience in Iraq in 2007. I also have over 5 years experience as a Corrections Deputy here in Michigan. I remain as a volunteer Firefighter after leaving a full time position as a Paramedic/Firefighter. Now, here I am a fully licensed professional counselor in Michigan (LPC). I have 3 years experience in working with adults with Substance Use Disorder where we see a vast majority also have issues dealing with depression, anxiety and traumatic past issues along with a myriad of other problems that leave people feeling stuck and unable to move forward. I approach each session as another extension of a journey. A journey that I want to be a part of as a partner walking beside you; and, not pushing you from behind nor dragging you along from in front.

Lisa was the best person I've met in my therapy experience. She is wise, always got something to suggest, and lots of the exercises she gave me helped me to deal with anxiety and compulsive thoughts even after the therapy. Definitely recommend her

Lisa has been such a blessing to me. She is very calm and I can always count on her to listen with no judgement and an open mind. She has provided me with easy tools to help navigate through the chaos of day to day life that can sometimes feel overwhelming. She can relate to a lot of what I’m experiencing and she makes you feel like she truly cares about you and your well being by checking in outside of session dates.

Wonderful person with a very loving, gentle personality. Great sense of humor and plenty of wisdom to share new perspectives on personal challenges. One of my favorite parts of my sessions with Lisa is she typically sends me off with a helpful suggestion or assignment to try, such as, “can you try asking your friend this…” or, “can you pick one thing like that to do…” Lisa has built a foundation of trust between us that I really appreciate. Thank you Lisa!
