About me
Greetings! My name is Lisa Jackson-Wardlaw and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the states of Virginia, Oregon and Louisiana with over 15 years of experience working as a counselor in community, inpatient and outpatient behavioral health settings. I hold master's degrees in education and clinical social work. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including trauma, depression, anxiety, life transition issues, career challenges, and learning disabilities. In addition, counseling individuals with a co-occuring learning disability and mental health diagnosis is a specialty of mine.
My counseling style is eclectic, warm and genuine. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I have experience with cognitive-behavioral, humanistic and psychodynamic approaches to counseling. I like to help my clients gently explore the core of the issues they are facing. My priority is person-centered care and equipping you the necessary therapeutic tools to address your needs. Our dialog will help you to define clear goals, so that we can work together to help you feel better about your life.
Let's take the first step in this healing journey together! I am offering messaging, live chat, and phone services. I look forward to talking with you!

Came in not knowing how all this therapy stuff works as a first timer when it comes to getting therapy. And she came in with a questionnaire that help me organize what is wrong and what to think about.

Lisa is amazing. Her expertise in helping people with vocational problems is on point. Her ability to help me focus on the positive, while still allowing me to vent the negative and receive guidance and validation, is awesome. She's easy to talk to, and picks up keen insights very quickly. I feel like I finally have a real safety net I can trust. Thank you, Lisa!
