About me
My name is Ms. Lisa Rosario. I'm glad that you stopped by today. I know it can be difficult to meet with a new therapist and I want to thank you for thinking of taking the steps to start this therapeutic alliance with me.
Let me tell start by telling you about myself. I am a New York City, Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years’ experience in this field. I love what I do and do what I love, so my extensive experience in this field has given me a career I take pride in.
I am a first-generation, New York born and raised Puerto Rican Latinx, who identifies as female. I am fully bilingual (Spanish) and bicultural. I earned my bachelor’s degree at Antioch University in Ohio, and my graduate degree at New York University. I continue to share the knowledge I’ve been blessed with by teaching at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work where I’ve been an Adjunct Professor for the past 9 years. I am also in the process of starting a doctoral candidacy.
Throughout my career I’ve worked in different settings with a variety of individuals, couples, adolescents/families who have a variety of personal issues that I have listed as part of this profile. I have had a wide array of therapeutic intervention situations that include, but are not limited to depression/anxiety, trauma, sexual/physical abuse, relationships, family concerns, addictions of all kinds, life struggles and immigration, to name a few. I realize that starting this experience can be a bit daunting. That said, allow me to give you and idea of how we would start this process if we are to work together.
I would begin by asking you a few questions so I can really understand what you’ve been going through, but before that I’d like to explain to you a little about who I am and what I do as a Therapist. You can always feel free to ask any questions you may have about this process and how we will work together to help you feel better.
Next, I may ask you to discuss some of the concerns you may have outlined in your initial message that may have brought you into treatment. I will then ask some questions about your history, background, your symptoms and current struggles. After we've discussed these concerns, we can discuss a bit about your relationships, your interests, your strengths, and your goals. Together we can assess your situation and go over some next steps. Some of this will involve discussing a treatment plan that considers what you feel are your most pressing concerns and how they impact your everyday life. Then we can discuss options as to how we can focus on some of these points and what methods can be used to address them. If that sounds like a plan you can work with, we may be a good fit.
Feel free to message me through Better Help to determine when would be the best time for you to set up an initial contact time/date.
I look forward to meeting you.
Be well and take good care.

Lisa is absolutely amazing. She's so incredibly supportive through the entire process. She's honest about the ups and downs of therapy and is there with you through all of it.

Lisa is amazing. She listens intently so she can understand you and helps you help yourself. I’m only a month in and already feel so much hope for change. She does it all!

I have only recently undertaken my journey with Lisa and I must say she has a level of acuity and compassion that I really appreciate. The other good thing though is that she is realistic and practical about how to achieve whatever goals it is we set. Our sessions have been truncated due to my schedule not hers and she has been unfailingly flexible and not judge mental. I look forward to resuming my work with Lisa and I would highly recommend her to anyone

I've been through the process of talking with many therapists before. Some were okay and some were absolutely awful, but when I first spoke with Ms. Rosario I felt the best talking with her, more than anyone else. She makes me feel listened to and cared about. She remembers when we talked about last and her approach to care is personal and effective. I appreciate her help so so much.

I’ve been using better help on and off because regardless of trying multiple therapists none of them seemed qualified enough to help me. Lisa is the best therapist i’ve been match without a doubt. She remembers what we talked about, she is encouraging, she’s kind and patient, she really cared and does her best to help
