About me

Life situations and transitions can be challenging at times. My goal as a therapist is to offer a confidential and healthy environment for us to explore your concerns together. I strive to provide quality and compassionate care, meeting you where you are at, and helping you experience insight, growth, and healing. My approach to therapy is very relational. I want to know who you are and what you want from life. My hope is to guide you on the path that leads towards the full life you deserve.

I specialize in eating disorders, anxiety, depression, trauma, oppositional behaviors, grief and loss, body image concerns as well as relationship issues. I have specialized training and experience with eating disorders and follow the most current evidenced based methods for symptom management. I have completed an intensive training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy for trauma. I also integrate Christian beliefs with client who request this approach.

Once we begin the journey together, we can decide the direction towards healing.

We are just beginning, but so far I find Lisa to be empathetic and she asks good questions. I could tell Lisa had familiarized herself with my background before we began meeting, which was very helpful so I feel we were able to be productive from the beginning. A therapist from my past (some time ago when I sought help) was good to listen but she rarely gave advice and I had to ask HER questions to receive guidance. I really like that Lisa seems more engaged and that she wishes to help me find answers but she assists by steering, not driving. I very much feel that Lisa understands the primary issues I’m wrestling with and is going to proactively help me discover a way forward.

Lisa is the best counselor I have ever met with or encountered. She understands when to talk and when to listen and gives great advice and feedback.
