About me

The words used to describe who I am, my credentials, my approach ... yada, yada, yada are far less relevant than how you feel when we meet. The therapeutic relationship is what fuels the shifts and healing you are seeking. You’ll know when you click with a “good fit” therapist.

Trust your instinct. It got you here.

It takes courage to admit that, "you know, I’m not feeling OK and need some support" and to take the first steps towards change. If you are ready to take that step, I am here to support and empower you.

I look forward to meeting you!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Lisa Ward. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I would like to say that working woth Lisa has been a pleasure. She applies these methods that really make you turn the mirror to yourself and search your feelings. Lisa encourages me to be curious and honest woth myself, but not to be judgemental. I have learned to embrace even the parts of myself that I don't like because after all all my parts make me who I am. Since working woth Lisa, she has given me tool to cope with my issues and problems. Once I changed my view, everything else also seems to change around me for the better. I am in a much better space now, and I cannot recommend her enough.

Lisa has gone above and beyond to hear me, understand me, give me affirmation and show me that I’m ok just the way I am. She takes notes and repeats back things I’ve said to let me know she’s following along, and she politely stops me to give feedback if she has any, always thinking carefully about her words. This is so unlike my prior BetterHelp therapist who stay muted whenever I spoke and only chimed in to say “yes, go on,” which may work wonders for some people, but it’s just not my style. Lisa listens intently and ignores the sounds around her so she can respond in real-time, which makes me feel more like an in-person client. I never feel judgment and she never vilifies the people in my life. She encourages me to find compassion for everyone, which makes my interactions feel much healthier. Lisa is wonderful and I highly recommend her!

Lisa has an accepting demeanor and is a good listener. She’s given me some really useful tips to help me get un-stuck and also in navigating some strong emotions. I wanted therapy to present-oriented and practical—not delving too much into the past—and she’s really respected that. I like her way of teaching new skills and her collaborative style.
