Lorie-Ann Brown, LCPC
About me
I am a licensed clinical professional counselor who attended Capella University where I graduated with honors in Clinical Counseling psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology. I am currently a lifetime member of Psi Chi Chapter. Psi Chi is the International Honor Society in Psychology, founded in 1929 for the purposes of encouraging, stimulating, and maintaining excellence in scholarship, and advancing the science of psychology.
I pride myself in learning all I can within the field of psychology and even how to expand in research and on various theories. I am currently focusing on trauma therapy, family and individual therapy to better serve clients. I have been working in the field of psychology for over 5 years and has found it to be a passion of mine for the long haul. I have a strong background working as a PRP worker, Program Director for an outpatient mental health facility, Rehabilitation Specialist, Clinical Supervisor and counselor. I consider myself to be well-versed in PRP and Maryland's COMAR regulations and how to effectively train upcoming counselors and those freshly starting in the field of psychology. I do not believe in bondage limitations. I believe we all can, with the necessary structure, work and mindset achieve our dreams, that will not only benefit us, but those around us.
I enjoy walking the journey of life with my clients and seeing them flourish with each session.

Very comforting to talk to, especially when days are not that good. Great listener and possess confidence in each word spoken. I look forward to our sessions. I know I will always feel better at the end.
