About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Arizona. My experience comes from providing mental health to children, teens, families, adults and couples with a variety of presenting issues stress and anxiety, coping with addictions, relationship issues, depression, gender identity, & trauma and abuse.

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seeking a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. My approach in the therapeutic relationship is with an acute sensitivity to multi/cross cultural factors. Much of my clinical experience includes working with at risk children and teens, probation teens (African American, Latino/Hispanic), gender identity with teens, Native Americans with addiction, and adults and teens with addiction. Navigating through multicultural differences in my own family. Representation for minority groups across the world in mental health is still very small and do not get the assistance they so need.

My goals include creating and collaborating my personal knowledge of minority cultures and professional experience in providing mental health support. My experience varies across settings, as I have provided individual and family therapy in a community mental health agency, school settings, inpatient detox and residential for addiction, inpatient psych facility for mental health, outpatient mental health and addiction treatment facilities, and boys and girls group homes.

I believe that we are all product of our environments, cultures, and relationships. I strive to treat you and the therapeutic relationship with the upmost care, compassion, respect, and dignity. My therapy style draws from Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and Client-Centered Therapy systems. Although I may use other modalities that meet your needs. The most important item is that I will meet you where you are at.

We will collaborate on your treatment plan and the goals you most seek, need, and want. Whatever you are working towards, it is my goal that we work together to achieve them! I am so proud that you have taken this difficult step towards self-care of your mind. It took a lot of strength for you to get here, so if you are ready for the next step I am here to support, encourage, motivate, empower, and uplift you. I am looking forward to collaborating with you on this journey.
