About me

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family therapist with 9 years fully licensed experience working as a psychotherapist and counselor. I was an RN for 25 years prior to deciding to pursue mental health counseling. I am from Chicago and moved to Las Vegas, NV in 1999 to escape the snow and cold. I spend my free time spoiling my 5 extremely large rescue dogs and trying to become an urban farmer.
I got my Bachelor degree in nursing in 1988 from Northern Illinois University and my first master degree in 1996 from Loyola University. I worked in many different areas of nursing including Oncology/Hematology, surgery, Emergency department, and nursing unit director. I became the manager of staff development/education in 2006. After a life-altering injury to my spine in 2011 I decided to pursue mental health. I received my Master in Marriage and Family Therapy from University of Phoenix in 2015. I have extensive experience working with clients who experience depression, anxiety, bipolar disorders, personality disorders, bodily health issues, and trauma. I have also helped people who experienced physical and/or emotional abuse.
My counseling style is warm, welcoming, and authentic. I believe that the client is not the problem, the problem is the problem. My approach combines humanistic theory and Socratic reasoning to develop practical answers to my client's issues. I will tailor my approach to help you meet your goals and conquer your unique issues.
If you are ready to take that first step toward a more fulfilling and rewarding life, I am here to support, honor, and empower you. Together we can experience your incredible journey of hope.

She’s amazing! It takes me a while to connect with people. But I connected with her right away. I immediately felt comfortable with Louise and feel “heard”, not analyzed of that makes any sense. She’s warm, caring, professional yet personable.

I've only had one session so far but she gives me space to talk but feel that she's taking careful constructive advice. Love it so far.
