About me
I am an Accredited Psychotherapeutic Counsellor with the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society. I am a registered member of the National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society and the National Hypnotherapy Society. My registration numbers are NCS20-00711 and HYP19-06210. I have experience in care, nursing and as a social carer.
I believe my life experience has helped me gain a good knowledge of compassion and respect, which is transferable into many sectors including counselling and care. I have successful experience working with clients who have anxiety, low self esteem and confidence, depression and trauma in their lives. In each of these cases the client and I work together to empower the client and help them to find a way through their issues to successfully move forward. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.
Recent continuous professional development includes – successful completion of Couples Counselling course via the counselling academy.com. This includes counselling couples with sexual difficulties, domestic violence and abuse awareness, using emotional focused therapy principles and couples work, with substance misuse in relationships, working with loss, grief, and bereavement, working with risk of suicide working with gender and sexual diversity, working with mental health issues within couples, introducing mindfulness to couples work, attachment issues within intimate relationships, an introduction to the systemic theory for relationship therapy and working with infidelity.
I have recently completed a year long course via the TBR College and I am now a qualified Supporting Baby Loss Practitioner. I can provide support to women who have experienced early baby loss and miscarriage
