Madeline Butterly, LISW, LCSW
About me
I am a Clinical Social Worker licensed in New York with over 8 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and families. I have experience working with clients from various backgrounds with an array of different concerns. I am able to support you if you are experiencing depression, anxiety, relationship issues, communication challenges, parenting problems, and ADHD. I also have supported many people who have experienced physical trauma or emotional abuse in ways that allow them to heal softly.
My therapy style is kind, warm, and dynamic. I believe in creating a strong client-therapist relationship centered around respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I don't believe in using stigmatizing labels. My approach combines cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, psychodynamic, and narrative therapies. I will tailor our time together and work with you to create a treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs.
It takes courage to heal and move forward in your life. If you are ready to take that first step, I am ready to support you.
I look forward to working with you!

I’ve been working with Madeline for just over 6 months and I can’t recommend her enough. She is so kind and patient and provides such good insight, feedback and support. I’ve made a lot of progress with my mental health and internal stability since working with her. She provides a lot of different methods and tools for working with and dissecting whatever you are going through. I’m so grateful for her.
