Madison Bentley, LPC
About me
I am a licensed professional counselor with a Master’s degree in Psychology and Counseling from Troy Alabama University, a National Board Certified Licensed Professional Counselor and a Certified Professional Counselor Supervisor in the State of Georgia. I am a member of the Licensed Professional Counseling Georgia Association (LPCGA) and have served on various community boards within the CSRA. Over the past 23 years, I have worked with children, adults and families on multiple levels. I provide individual, couples, group and family counseling services to address mental health and/or substance use disorders. I also provide consultation to healthcare providers who treat special populations such as LGBTQ+ and provide LGBTQ+ affirming care. Moreover, I treat depression, anxiety, trauma, grief, relationship challenges, parenting challenges, life challenges, etc., I am also trained by Dr. Charlotte Newman Charfen, MD as a death doula and combined with clinical skills, I work with individuals with acute and chronic illness or anyone seeking help with end-of-life services, which also includes working with supports. I also have extensive experience in emergency crisis services for anyone experiencing mental health and/or substance use problems.
My treatment style is compassionate and interactive. My therapeutic approach is tailored to each client. Some of the modalities used include EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy, motivational interviewing and person-centered practice. I work with each individual to develop a treatment plan to meet the goals the client wants to achieve.
I believe each person has the answer and by talking through life challenges with a counselor, it is possible to obtain a more fulfilling life.
I look forward to working with you!

I greatly value Madison's insight, his help has been such a blessing in my personal growth. He helped me identify that I have MDD which I greatly appreciate giving me better insight into myself. Lastly, it's just so comforting being able to feel seen and safe sharing my experiences with another person from the LGBT+ community.

Madison is so understanding and comforting to talk to. He asks questions that really require me to be introspective. I'm glad I finally found a therapist that ACTUALLY gets me and where I am at in my life

Madison has been there for me throughout the most challenging time of my life. I feel he has provides me with the tools and insight I need to help me grow and he is patient with me during this learning process. He offers support and is always thoughtful about his responses. I feel heard and understood and I am beyond grateful for the help I’ve been receiving at such dark time in my life. I truly felt like I had no hope when I joined this app and I wasn’t convinced therapy would help me. I had seen a therapist before Madison who I didn’t click with and instead of giving up, I decided to try one more therapist to see if it would have any different result. I couldn’t have been more fortunate to have been matched with Madison. Our sessions have taught me about reframing my thoughts and that there is hope for me to make positive changes in my life. I am still a work in progress, but I have so much more insight and understanding than I did before I started therapy and I am so grateful for that. We are truly all just out here doing our best, but knowledge is power and I see therapy as a valuable learning curve. Once we know better we can do better, especially when we have the tools and support to help us in life.
