About me
Hello, my name is Magniola (Maggie) Duré. I received my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Counseling Therapy from Capella University in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and graduated in September 2018. Currently, I am certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors-1142451. I am also licensed as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina-15020. Lastly, I am provisionally licensed as a Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist Associate- LCAS-24532.
I approach counseling as a collaborative process in which the clients and I will be able to establish a trusting and safe therapeutic relationship. Throughout the relationship, we will work as a team to explore and define present life difficulties and develop goals for the future to promote wellness using evidence-based practices. Person-Centered Counseling, Solution-Focused Counseling, Interpersonal Counseling, and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment modalities are my expertise.
I have experience in helping clients with stress and anxiety, motivation, self-esteem, and confidence, career difficulties, & coping with life changes. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and happier life and to take the first steps towards a change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey.

Maggie is a very caring and responsive therapist. She listens well and can pinpoint the root of the issue quite quickly. After every session I always learn something about myself and steps to apply for the week. I also appreciate how she shows her faith in her counsel. I appreciate that she always points me back to God.

Magnolia is great at allowing you to express your feelings in a safe space. She lets the conversation flow effortlessly into the deeper lesson behind life’s trails. It is eye opening. My favorite thing she does is giving thought provoking homework!
