Mahalia Hamilton, BACP
About me
Sometimes we need space to feel heard, sometimes we need space to think and be present with ourselves. I am non-judgemental regardless of my own values and beliefs. As your therapist I will accept you for who you are and meet you with empathy. I will be with you in your chaos, in your binding and I will be patient with your process. With a person-centred approach I welcome people from all walks of life providing empathy, honesty, and unconditional positive regard.
My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe, accepting, non - judgemental therapeutic relationship in which I will help you explore and make sense of what you need to. I believe each person experiences different realities due to their perceptions of the world; I find this to be the beauty of uniqueness.
I have completed an undergraduate degree in psychology, a masters in Person-centred experiential counselling and psychotherapy practice and I am a current doctoral student in counselling psychology.

Mahalia has been a rock for me in this time of my life. I always wanted to start therapy and I’m so happy I met her as my first therapist. She is warm, inviting, supportive and always checks in.
She makes me think of other viewpoints that might never have crossed my mind. I would recommend her 10 times over!

Mahalia is a very kind and thoughtful therapist who takes the time to remember and recognise patterns in myself that I cannot see because I’m standing too close to them. I find this a very helpful and supportive skill.
