Margaret Lindberg
About me
Hello and thank you for taking the time to stop and look at my profile. If you are looking for a compassionate and non-judgmental person to assist you through your journey I would be happy to assist you. I have over 15 years of experience in the mental health field. I graduated with a Bachelor's of Psychology from Hood College and obtained my Master's of Social Work at the University of Maryland, Baltimore Campus. I have worked in a variety of settings including but not limited to; outpatient treatment, hospitals, mobile crisis, the criminal justice system, schools, and adult residential settings.
I believe that everyone, at some point in their life, needs a little assistance getting through tough times. I offer a listening ear with the knowledge that the benefits from therapy grow from a good foundation and solid rapport between the client and the therapist. I believe that it is important to let the client chose what to focus on, and while I will guide the client, I am not a therapist who will give the client answers but let them come to their own conclusions. I borrow strategies from a variety of therapeutic modalities including cognitive behavioral, solution focused, mindfulness, and relational therapy.

I have been working with Margaret for 8-9 months now. Having someone to talk to who offers sound advice when you’re experiencing so many life changes has been vital for my mental health. I have experienced so many changes and loss during a pandemic. Margaret has offered advice and provided a listening ear when I need it. Sometimes I simply vent to get things off my chest. Other times, we discuss and come up with resolutions. I always feel validated in my emotions which is huge for me. I would highly recommend Margaret to anyone and plan to continue my therapy sessions with her!

Margaret’s insight and guidance helped me wade through a family situation I was struggling to understand and empowered me with the knowledge that I can set boundaries and that it’s okay. She helped me identify past experiences that effected my current perspective and provided me with tools on how to better handle my anxiety.
