About me

I am a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker in New Hampshire and Vermont.. I have a particular interest in the aging population . I encourage my clients to cultivate and maintain a constellation of people, places and things that promote interdependence. My adult clients tell me that I help them to see their situations from an new angle. Therapy is an opportunity to discover new ways of thinking about one or more situations. I understand how frightening this can be. I continue to learn from my clients in a community mental center. It is important that my clients give me feedback about their therapy experience. Building and practicing effective communication is key in my relationship with clients.

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Margaret Swanson. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I have been working with Margaret for a couple of years now (maybe longer… my concept of time is a little unclear at the moment), and she has been a pillar in my journey of working through my many problems. She frequently understands my struggles better than I do, and she always offers me unbiased and nonjudgmental advice and support. I could probably go on for some time longer, but I will conclude with: I would not be where I am today without her, and I truly look forward to the insight she’ll provide me when I come forward with issues.

I’ve had two sessions so far with Margaret, she’s wonderful. I feel very comfortable with her. She listens and gives me time to process my feelings which allows me to more deeply explore the issues that I’m experiencing.
