Marla Anderson, LPC
About me
Hello - My name is Marla Anderson, and I am an LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) from Northeast Texas. I started my counseling career as a school counselor more than 15 years ago. I began to make the change to an LPC in 2018, working both sides (school counseling and private practice). I fully made the crossover in June of 2021. During that time until the present, I have had the privilege to work with people from ages 3 to 73.
I have experience in helping my clients work through stress and anxiety, addiction issues, depression, and anger management as well as motivation, self-esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating all my clients with respect, sensitivity, and compassion and working together to come up with the best treatment plan to meet unique and specific needs.
Making the choice to reach out for help is a big step, and the first step is always the hardest. Congratulations on taking that first step towards a healthier you. I look forward to our journey.

I have only been meeting with Marla for a couple of weeks but so far she has been amazing. She will ask me questions about things in my life that I forgot I even mentioned just proving how good of a listener she is, and that means the most to me. I am so excited to continue working with her!

Exactly what i needed. Gave me worksheets and exercises as well as personal opinions but not in a pushy way. I give her an A + for sure.

I've only been working with Marla for a couple weeks but she is very responsive and has taken the time to listen to my concerns. She's made an excellent effort at trying to understand me and my concerns. I look forward to working through some of these issues and I'm hopeful she will be able to help me better manage my emotions
