About me

I am a licensed professional counselor in Oregon with over 10 years of experience working as a counselor and therapist. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns including: anxiety, depression, adjustment, social and relationship issues, trauma, Bi-Polar, ADHD/ADD, ODD, RAD, conduct, adjustment, self-esteem, family dynamics, substance use, personality disorders, anger, communication challenges, and Internet use issues.
I believe that everyone has the capacity to reach an improved state of health. I employ an eclectic approach to counseling, with an emphasis on Cognitive Behavioral, Rational Emotive Behavioral, Motivational skills, Multi-Cultural theories and mindfulness techniques that support improved health.
Every day we make Choices. Sometimes we are not even aware of the choices we are making until we are facing the implications of those choices. Developing prosocial thoughts and communication skills are often key; with ourselves and with others in forming helpful next steps in managing life challenges, resolving conflicts, and reducing negative emotions and behaviors. So importantly, these skills often increase our ability to experience hope and support us in establishing the kinds of relationships we need and want.
I specialize in working with older teens, young adults, and adults of all ages. My style is empathetic, direct, and warm. I engage an integrative, holistic, and mindful approach to counseling.
I’d like to assist you in identifying the goals you want to work toward; along with forming a treatment plan to navigate the steps and process in the achievement of those goals. If you are ready to take that step, I’m here and I look forward to meeting and working with you.
