Mary ann Yarbrough, LCSW
About me
Hi everyone, my name is Mary Ann Yarbrough and I am a licensed clinical social worker, LCSW. My focus is to help individuals heal, energize, and become aware of their inner strengths. I achieve this by providing a neutral safe space, listening to your concerns with your guided support. I pride myself in meeting you where you’re at as you are the experts in your stories. Therapy is most effective when the therapist and client build a strong rapport through being genuine, caring, and trusting. Even if you just need a safe space to share/vent that is what I am here for. My goal is to help you grow from your struggles, heal from your pain, and move forward to where you want to be in your life.
I have worked in this field for over 10 years specializing in adolescents with behavioral health challenges and young adults making major life transitions that can be incredibly taxing. Making sure there is adequate social supports is important. I am here for you to manage through your stress, and help you to utilize your coping skills more effectively.
First off, you are already incredibly brave to make the first step to look for a therapist so, I want to say that I am already proud of you. I know this is not an easy process and therapy has its stigmas. We can do this together. You can achieve anything, especially to feel better.
