Mary Franco, LMFT
About me
Hello. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and I’m happy to say I have been in this profession for over 13 years. I find this work very rewarding and interesting. I enjoy hearing my client’s unique stories and collaborating with them to discover ways to support therapeutic, emotional and personal goals. My therapeutic approach is strength based with eclectic therapeutic techniques that adapt to the individualized needs of my clients.
I’ve worked in private practice, community-based organizations, and in public schools with different grade levels. This variety of counseling settings has provided me with the opportunity and privilege to work with adults, children, adolescents and couples. Prior to becoming a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I worked in the non-profit sector, providing counseling services, supporting individuals in foster care, and providing in- home behavioral support for children and families.
Therapy is a process…some individuals prefer their journey be shorter than others. Some individuals may feel they need more time for self- discovery, personal growth and/or to work through specific problematic life situations. Regardless of your preference, there is no right or wrong way to approach your therapeutic experience. What is important, is that you connect with your therapist, feel comfortable, and that the Therapist is willing to meet you where you are now.
Life change requires the courage to take the first step, and I would like to help by providing support, understanding and a trusting therapeutic relationship. I look forward to meeting with you.
