Mary Hill, LICSW
About me
Hi My name is Mary K. Hill. I am a licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Minnesota. I have practiced in this field for over 30 years. I retired a few years ago and quickly learned I missed my work. So, I’m back to use my excellent skills and years of experience to help you move through your concerns that may be holding you back from living your best life. The lens I see life through is nonjudgmental and accepting. All these years of experience helped me learn how to work best with ALL people. I have been blessed in this area of my work which helped me grow as a professional and clearly see where my clients at.
My work involves meeting the client where they are at to address their needs. My clients drive the modalities of therapy I use. Often, to address these needs I met my clients in the setting that worked best for them, home, school or clinical agency. Using virtual therapy is new for me but I have seen how well it can work.
Some of my specialty areas include:
• Individuals wanting to improve their life, removing roadblocks so that can happen
• Parent child relationships
• Anxiety and depression
• Trauma and abuse
• GLBT population
• Couples Therapy
• Grief and Loss
• Chemical Dependency
I’m so grateful you reached out for help. If you feel we are a good fit for each other I look forward to working with you. If not, I am sure you can find one of our other therapists that will be a perfect fit. Best regards in improving your life.

Mary listens to me, helps me to understand and keeps me focused on what I want to change. When I start to wallow in my emotions, she kindly redirects the energy to what to do about it. She has stuck with me for almost a year, cheering the changes I have been able to make and continuing to nudge me to what still needs to be done. This is the best therapy experience I have had.

I like Mary and her approach. She has life experiences which gives the client a sense of easiness knowing she knows where we are coming from.
