Mary Lira Rocca, NCPS
About me
My name is Mary, and I am a Pluralistic counsellor who tailors counselling to your unique situation. I blend various methods, adapting to your pace and preferences. We are all unique, and your circumstances, finding your strengths, and exploring your potential are vital aspects of embracing your journey into wellness. The core of my work centres around adapting to your pace and what feels most comfortable for you. Your feedback and preferences are so important!
My counselling journey started as a student counsellor for a university and after that, I have worked with a variety of clients including elderly clients going through bereavement, clients experiencing anxiety, lack of motivation, lack of confidence, and cultural issues. I combine different counselling methods to create an experience that suits you best. Compassion-oriented practices are at the root of my approach and I also use creativity tools such as paintings and creative writing.
Taking the first step to counselling can feel very daunting, but it is the beginning of a different journey. This journey involves self-discovery in a safe, compassionate and supportive space.

Mary is calm, confident, very approachable and massively non-judgemental. She lets me talk about all sorts of things without ever making me feel uncomfortable. I felt at ease with her since the beginning and she is being a great help.

Mary is such a good listener, she really gives me the space to talk freely and get things off my chest. She is great at gently helping me reflect on my thoughts and feelings a go deeper to understand why I might feel that way. Even through a screen I can feel her strong empathy and that is really special. I am really grateful, I feel she has helped me lift out of a fog.
