About me

Hi there, my name is Mary Lynn. I am Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 14 years of experience in coaching and therapy. I am passionate about helping others to unwind, observe, and possibly change thoughts and behaviors that are barriers to living a joyful life. Offering a patient-centered approach, I blend therapeutic styles to what is most helpful and productive for each individual. Whether it is adjusting to a life change, managing anxiousness, or dealing with trauma or loss, let’s work together to observe what is happening in and around us and move forward with intention.

A bit more about my background: I graduated from the University of Tennessee with a Masters in Science in Social Work, specializing in Trauma and Interpersonal Practice. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction, Motivational Interviewing, and Integrative Therapies.
My professional experiences include working in settings of trauma, healthcare, and international social work providing clinical counseling to individuals and groups.

Therapy has been very helpful and encouraging! I used to think people only needed therapy if they experienced something super traumatic or distressing, but I’ve realized during my short time in therapy that it doesn’t have to be that way. Processing things through therapy has been really great and just discussing and identifying how different aspects of my life have affected me has been helpful! Thank you Mary Lynn! :-)
