Mary Patton, LCSW
About me
I am a licensed clinical social worker in Illinois with over 5 years of professional work experience in the mental health field.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I enjoy working in the Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) framework which uses structured sessions with a beginning, middle, and end to maximize the time we have together. These sessions are goal oriented and focus on problem solving and self awareness. My job is to help you make connections between your thoughts, feelings, and actions so you are able to break unwanted patterns and reach your goals. Active participation both in sessions and on your own time is necessary as collaboration is paramount to any progress or change.
Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
