Megan Du Plessis, BACP
About me
Do you need someone to listen and understand? Thank you for sharing information about yourself. I'm happy that you reached out for help. I am Megan du Plessis, a licensed therapist in the UK. My approach is predominately person centred tailored to your needs. Imagine being safe, heard and understood; I strive to provide that space! Initially I will mostly listen helping you to get clarity in your own mind regarding your situation, your needs and your options. As we get to know each other we may use elements of CBT, Compassion Focussed Therapy and other approaches according to your needs. It is a scary process, but I believe in a gentle approach that does not retraumatised. I have worked in addiction within a Trauma Informed approach and bereavement with a more Solution Focussed approach giving us a lot of scope to lead you to be in a better place. I am licensed in the UK with experience in helping clients with coping with addictions, trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. You will be treated with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. Together we will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and you have done well and can be proud of yourself for getting started!
