Melissa Clay, LMSW
About me
I have been a licensed therapist for 3 years. My education is clinical social work from Indiana Wesleyan University. I offer solution-focused, motivational interviewing, psychodynamic modalities.
My personal history brought me to this field later in life and my own life experiences add depth to my practice and understanding of the hardships and circumstances many of us face.
I believe therapy should be available to everyone and everyone needs therapy at some time in life.
I use warmth, compassion, empathy, honesty, and dignity in every session. I believe we all have something to offer we just need some support in finding our self at times.
I look forward to working with you!

Melissa takes the time to understand my situation. She asks thoughtful questions and is reassuring in her approach. Each form of communication seems targeted to me and my situation, not a general message from someone who doesn't distinguish between their clients. She remembers things I have told her and speaks sensitively but with strength that is comforting.
