Writing this at the end of a year where my partner and I began our exploration into ethical non-monogamy and I realized I had a lot of unresolved issues with anxiety and jealousy that I wasn't managing well at the time. Melissa was a great resource for me to get my feelings out about what I was experiencing and was able to offer other tools for me to help manage said anxieties about opening up the relationship. That was back towards maybe August or so, and wrapping up the year in December, I am feeling much more confident in my choices. I feel I have better tools to manage myself when a wave of anxiety washes over me. Melissa was a great person to talk to through these past several months and i was able to feel heard and validated in what I was experiencing, as well as being appropriately told when I was perhaps being unfair to my partner and how I could discuss things with them.
This was my first time going to therapy, and I was very impressed with how Melissa was able to work with me when I needed her help.
