Melissa Sabadasz, LMHC
About me
I am a LMHC in the WNY region. I received my Master's from Canisius University in Buffalo, NY and I have been a counselor for 9 years. I have experience working in group and individual therapy, with focus on psychoeducation to coping skills training. I have experience working with a range of issues from anxiety and depression, trauma, unhealthy relationships, and LGBTQ+. I have practiced with various approaches of counseling, from CBT and DBT, to mindfulness and meditation, to art and music therapy. I personalize my therapeutic approach to each individual's needs and interests.
On a personal level I believe myself to be a warm and approachable person which helps clients to feel comfortable and welcome. I also enjoy the use of humor and real life experiences to facilitate an effective working relationship.
Making the decision to talk to a counselor may not be an easy or comfortable decision, but if you are ready to take that step I am happy to meet you wherever you're at in that process!
