About me

Hi! My name is Mike. I am a licensed professional counselor in the state of Oklahoma and have been working as a therapist since 2017. Before becoming a licensed therapist, I worked as a behavioral rehabilitation specialist since I graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 2010. I also come from a background that consists of both inpatient and outpatient therapy working with both teenagers and adults.
I have experience in helping people with stress and anxiety, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, motivation, self esteem, and confidence. I believe in treating everyone with respect, sensitivity, and compassion. I also take confidentiality very seriously as I want this to be a safe place for you to discuss whatever you are needing to.
I will tailor our dialog and treatment plan to meet your unique and specific needs. I want this to work for you and am flexible with my approach in order to meet your needs. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started! I would like the opportunity to work with you and to achieve your treatment goals!

Reviews

These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Michael Lenker. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.

I haven't been with Michael for very long, but he is the most understanding and caring therapist I've worked with! he's able to empathize very easily and makes sure that you know you aren't going to be judged at all for anything. he understands what you're going through on a much deeper level than I've seen most therapists in the past, and treats you like a human being and nothing less. he's punctual and on time for appointments, and always lets you know in advance if he needs to reschedule. I cannot recommend him enough!

Felt listened to, supported, and respected. And that’s what I was looking for. Excellent.

I've had therapy before which didn't really work for me, but Michael really makes me feel safe and relaxed. We joke about a lot of things, I can just rant and make almost no sense at all but he always gets it.

Mike is that therapist that will be whatever you need them to be.
Anytime you need.

He is such a safe space to have.
He is present.
He is flexible.
If you need to talk, he will listen.
If you need answers, he will help you ask the right and relevant questions to you.
If you need guidance, he will help you through it.
I will never forget how he was there for me throughout the hardest times, without any hesitation.
At no given time I felt pushed, judged, or rushed.
At no point I was somewhere I wasn’t ready to be at.

My recommendation is a loud and clear YES.
