Michael (Mike) Wallington, LPCC
About me
Life brings us experiences which cause us stress, stretch our capacity to cope. We respond with depression and anxiety often resort to ineffective behaviors, such as substance use, attempting to maintain our stability. The impact on us can be devastating and we can spiral out of control, often resulting in a disruption in our relationships, ability to work, ability to manage tasks and affairs and our ability to find satisfaction or meaning in our lives. I use Internal Family Systems, cognitive behavioral, humanistic, client centered, and mindfulness based approaches to remove blocking emotions and beliefs can help find balance and promote healing.
I offer a nurturing and non-judgmental approach to therapy, encouraging a holistic approach to healing and life. I believe that each person has the inner capacity and resources to find a path to inner balance and harmony, and success and effectiveness in meeting the demands of life.
