Mike has a way of drawing you out through conversation about other things. But he listens actively and picks up on different cues that you don’t even know you’re giving him in that conversation. And then he’s very good at bringing them up in a way that is not aggressive or threatening or degrading. He’s very respectful of my time, very respectful of why I am coming to therapy and what I am looking for. And very good at making me think about if what I was looking for in therapy is the best thing for me or do I need to go a different route. He’s empathetic, Kind, And very non-judgmental! And I think that’s everything that you should be looking for in a good therapist! Every other therapist I’ve seen has tried to diagnose my husband through me. And our sessions ended up talking about him and his issues instead of me and my issues. Mike has never done that. We’ve had to talk about my husband, his issues issues and our issues. But he knows That I am here to get help for myself, and not for my husband!
And I have recommended him to other people that I know.
