Dr. Trainor is an amazing therapist. In my situation I felt very comfortable opening up to him and the feedback I received was always laid out in a way that was easily digestible. I believe this is one of his strong suits. In addition, Dr. Trainor would regular check on me in between sessions while providing handouts and readings for me to scan prior to our appointments which always helped me find more things to bring up in conversation.

Although there is only so much you can get to know about someone on a weekly basis, Michael and I have increasingly become more open and understanding of each other's communication styles since we first met a few weeks ago. It has been a pleasure getting to meet with him and establishing that quality line of communication. He is very flexible regarding how sessions are conducted (call or video), understanding about outside circumstances (running late or technology issues), and timely and responsive to any messages I may send to him.
In my opinion, he is a laid back man who truly wants to work at your pace. He'll leave it to you to start the discussion, and wants to hear what you have to say, while also chiming in when appropriate and giving his insights in the same manner. I am a very analytical and technical person, and, whether it is intentional or not, Michael helps balance that out at times with his approach.
If I was to summarize my times spent meeting with Michael by referencing one circumstance, it would be when I had to see why my dog was barking while we were in a session. This led to us discussing dogs, and animals, etc. It was calming, and Michael knows I've been going through quite a bit over the past few months as I've been battling the stages of grief, so the calm moments are appreciated.
I look forward to further working together with Michael, and I always appreciate the time he spends helping me work through things. He's a good man
