About me
Do you often second-guess yourself? Do you have a hard time remembering some things? Do you often wonder why you do and say the things that you do and say? Do you feel anxious about… everything? Our lives are like puzzles. Some scenes and pictures are more complicated than others and require assistance being put together. The pieces often get mixed up, flipped over, and sometimes put in the wrong box. I'm here to help you flip those pieces over and arrange them in their appropriate spots to help you gain perspective, increase your self-awareness, and develop healthy coping mechanisms in a safe, relaxing, validating, and judgment free environment.
I empower individuals in overcoming anxiety, setting boundaries, and identifying and processing traumatic or life altering events that may have been overlooked. Together we take a holistic approach, addressing your physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual self, as well as the different roles you play in your daily life.
Therapy should not be a scary experience. Connecting with your therapist is an important part of the therapeutic process. My laid back and humorous approach offers a welcoming environment that helps put you at ease and open up. My own personal physical disability also offers assistance in connecting with and relating to individuals with physical struggles.
I know it’s hard to believe, but one size does NOT fit all. Different injuries call for different treatments. You wouldn't slap a Band-Aid on a severed limb, just like you wouldn't get stitches for a paper cut. If left untreated and ignored, initial injuries have a way of creating more and bigger injuries. Getting to know you and listening to your story helps me guide you to the most appropriate treatments.
Imagine a warm, calm, inviting environment with no judgments and open conversations. An environment where therapy is enjoyable. I value comfort and safety when establishing therapeutic relationships.

Michelle is very understanding and great social worker to talk to. I've tried many therapist who always go for cookie cutter approach but Michelle is different.

I have a hard time opening up to people and speaking about my feelings, but Michelle has made me feel very comfortable and safe. I can be vulnerable without fearing being judged or ridiculed. She's always so attentive and kind. She's always very positive and cheerful.

I love Michelle approach; knowing I’m nervous to open up to a therapist she is taking her time and not forcing me to open up but rather build a rapport and slowly I’m opening up

Michelle us an outstanding counselor, she is patient, kind and provides extraordinary insights. Her greatest strength is that she will never lead you to a realization you are not ready for, because she understands that the journey (and how you navigate it) to an improved mental health is just as important as the destination and should be treated as such.

I look forward to our weekly sessions - it’s like catching up with a friend that gradually turns into a deeper discussion. Michelle shares examples and stories from her life that make sessions feel more like a conversation - this really helps me open up and feel understood.

Very amazing individual. I can speak to her like a lifelong friend and that is important for disclosing things and being vulnerable.
