About me
With more than 10 years of experience working with families and individuals, I have had the humbling experience of supporting clients through significant changes in their lives. These changes can come at the individual level such as physical and mental health abilities, the relationship level such as communication concerns or role expectations, or at the systemic level such as collaboration with medical teams and coordination of family and caregivers.
It is a humbling experience because I recognize that I am being brought in often during one of the worst moments in someone’s life. I do not take that lightly and I try to ensure that each client I work with feels safe and supported.
In practice I have utilized varying therapeutic approaches and I work with the client to identify which approach best meets their needs. Truth be told, because not one size fits all, it is often a combination of multiple therapies. I have found that the most frequently used in my work are Narrative Therapy, Client-Centered Therapy, Solution-Based Approach, Mindfulness Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
The most common feedback I receive from those that I work with is that they feel I have a calming presence, a kindness that helps them to feel immediately comfortable, and the knowledge and expertise to truly help them achieve their goals.
I understand the value in balancing the joys of life with the challenges of life , and I look forward to establishing this balance with you.

Michelle is simply amazing. One of the simple but beautifully profound thing she made me do is to think and helped me to think in the right way.
From the start, Michelle had a calm and comforting presence, I always felt safe to share my issues and fears with her and unburden myself. Michelle is a great listener. Her responses are very thoughtful and insightful. She is very understanding and provides practical advice. Michelle was kind, compassionate, and always helpful.
Everyone wants to change and expects change. Even I wanted to change and the worse thing is I desperately needed to make changes at that point in my life. Some changes are simple and easy. And some changes are tough, scary, and terrifying, but need to be done to move forward. It took some courage and strength to overcome those, and Michelle has always been externally providing me with the strength and courage I needed in one way or another. Change is inevitable, but personal growth is a choice. And Michelle always made sure that I am on the right end of the choice and getting a beneficial positive impact and making sure I am seeing the good in it. She was persistent even when I showed no effort and encouraged me even when I showed very little progress. Here, I am trying to change and I have been gifted with a transformation that I have never even imagined. It changed the way how I think, I behave, I interact, I perceive the world. And I am not alone in this journey, Michelle was always been supportive, encouraging, and always been there for me.
Michelle was the first therapist I have seen and I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

Michelle was an amazing listener. She took seriously our counseling sessions, as well as my desire for a faith-based approach. She explained things to me thoroughly and helped provide perspective for the things I was experiencing. She was great and unbiased, and I felt that she cared about me as a person. I am truly grateful for her help.
