Miranda Metcalf, LPC
About me
Hello! My name is Miranda Metcalf (she/her) and I am an LPC with over 4 years of being independently licensed, and have been in the mental health and substance abuse fields, in different capacities, for about 15 years. I have worked with clients experiencing difficulties related to trauma, depression, anxiety, ADD, substance abuse and family issues. I have worked with clients ranging in age from 3 yo to in their 60's and enjoy working clients from a wide variety of backgrounds and lifestyles. I do not believe in judging people for the way they choose to live their lives, or for being true to themselves.
My counseling style has previously been described as caring and honest. I believe in treating everyone with mutual respect and am open and honest. I primarily utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, as well as client centered and humanistic techniques. Each client and family is different and unique, and as such I will tailor my approach to your specific needs.
I believe it takes courage and a strong desire to improve your life to seek out help. I commend you for taking this step to improving your life. While I cannot make changes for you, I am honored to help you do so, and look forward to walking your journey with you.

Miranda's the best counselor I've ever had. She was able to help me understand what my needs even are and develop plans to address them. I'm in a completely different place than I was when I started, and people in my life have taken notice as well. Miranda is a fantastic listener who works to understand the core of my struggles so that we can dissect the internalized beliefs, examine them and discover which ones no longer serve me, and consider new healthier ways of thinking. She's helped me understand myself better and develop strategies for the places I felt stuck. I'm so thankful for getting to work with her.

Miranda is awesome! She listens and provides helpful advice through questions. I just do the chat option for sessions, and she responds quickly and her answers/suggestions are helpful. She never misses an appointment, and when I need to cut our sessions short she is always accommodating. I had two other therapists on this platform before her, and both just stopped showing up to sessions. Miranda is nothing like them, and she listens more than she responds. I appreciate all the help and advice she's given me so far, and look forward to keep working with her! Thank you Miranda!
