About me
Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in the states of South Carolina & Ohio. I have over 13 years experience working with adults, adolescents, and children both in clinic and private practice settings. I also have experience working with couples and families. Some clinical issues I have the most experience in include depression, anxiety, relationship difficulties and stress management. I also have experience working with persons living with chronic physical disabilities and those dealing with trauma and grief issues. Additionally, I have training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction.
In therapy, I am supportive, compassionate, and present with individuals throughout their journey; including times of struggle and times of achievement. I enjoy getting to know my clients and work hard to understand how I can best help them in their journey.
My educational background includes a Bachelor's in Sociology and a Master's in Counseling. I know that no single approach is right for everyone therefore I believe in flexibility, & I have specialized training in a variety of evidenced based approaches to help individuals achieve their therapeutic goals. Mirinda is great. I have had several counselors in the past and she is by far the best one. She replies fast, is very knowledgeable, and seems to always know the right answer. Her guidance has changed my marriage for the better and I couldn't express my thanks enough. She has also helped with other issues I have and always knows the best approach. By far, the best counselor ever.
