Monica Giuffre, LPC
About me
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Texas with extensive experience working with clients across the lifespan, from ages 3 to 75, and with diverse backgrounds and various challenges. I used to provide couples and marital counseling, as well as family and group counseling, where I served as both a facilitator and co-facilitator in various therapeutic settings. However, I currently only focus on individual counseling, which I have the most experience in.
Throughout my career, I have supported clients facing a wide range of challenges, including depression, anxiety, relationship issues, low self-esteem, self-harm, trauma, grief, career struggles, codependency, narcissism, and ADHD. I also work with individuals navigating autism, addiction, substance use, gender identity, eating disorders, social anxiety, sexuality, neurodivergence, CPTSD, and various types/forms of abuse.
My therapeutic style is warm and person-centered, emphasizing a nonjudgmental and interactive space where clients can take the lead. I believe clients are the true experts in their lives, so my role is to walk alongside them as a supportive guide, offering unconditional positive regard and encouragement in their journey of self-discovery. Understanding that each client’s path is unique, I tailor my approach to honor their individual experiences and needs. Rather than adopting a “one size fits all” approach, I draw from a blend of therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral, solution-focused, narrative, dialectical behavioral, exposure, humanistic, psychodynamic, interpersonal, art, emotionally focused, and rational-emotive therapies.
Together, we’ll shape our dialogue and develop a treatment plan that best aligns with your unique needs, honoring your goals and helping you overcome any obstacles in your way.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Monica Giuffre. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Monica always seems thrilled to hear what you have to tell her. She has a very energetic tone that comes off as “very invested in what you have to say. In my opinion having a therapist that doesn’t always sound professional makes me more comfortable and welcomes me to say any type of situation you’re in. In conclusion, Monica is a very fun person to talk to :3
