About me
I am a licensed mental health counselor in the state of Florida with over 17 years of experience in the mental health field. I have extensive experience working with individuals with various mental health issues including substance abuse and anger management, anxiety, depression, PTSD and trauma. I also have extensive experience working with: foster care families, adoptive families, adults and individuals involved in the legal system.
My treatment approaches include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Art therapy techniques, Education and Group counseling. I am also a Certified Life Coach and am passionate about helping my clients work towards achieving a better emotional and behavioral well-being. My job is to get to know you and build trust with you as together we explore what might be getting in your way to being the person you want to be.

If I schedule an appointment at 5pm, I would expect my therapist to be present, just as if I was doing an in person meeting. 30 mins waiting and no call. Unbelievable. Not a good look.

Myra has been a God sent. She’s been able to help me find ways to cope with my anxiety and depression in a healthy way and really focus on myself. With her guidance, I’ve been able to realize that we all go through tough times but we need to remember that we’re human and the goal is learn from the experience and move forward because life is great, you just really have set your mind to see it.
