Naomi Krikhely, LCSW
About me
I am licensed in New York with 10 years of psychotherapy experience. I have worked with clients with a wide range of concerns, including stress, anxiety, and depression; building confidence, self-esteem, and motivation; coping with growing pains, tension, and conflict; empowering youth and young adults to identify and utilize their strengths and to support parents with a myriad of child-rearing concerns. I believe that YOU have many strengths that will assist you in overcoming things that challenge you.
If you are looking for someone who will be open-minded and empathically inclined to hear your story and support you, it would be my honor. My education emphasized child & family theory in a strengths-based model; therefore, in my practice, I specialize in supporting children, teens, families, and emerging adults to cope with the life stressors that challenge them personally. It is my hope to empower you (and/or your child) to live with a genuine sense of kindness and compassion towards yourself (and others).
While we, as humans, have many similarities, every person is unique, and therapy shouldn't be "one size fits all". My approach is collaborative and strengths-based, and my style is warm and empowering—I ally with you to make sense of what works best for you and your needs, which may evolve over time. I hope to support and empower you to work toward your goals and connect to your personal strengths using a combination of holistic, humanistic, person-centered, and mindful techniques.
Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process with compassion, sensitivity, and respect.
