I consider it an honor to be here for my clients in offering unconditional support for the various challenges in their lives! I love working with clients to remind them of how amazing they are, despite whatever challenges are standing in their way or who has ever told them otherwise.
Background:
I am actively licensed in professional counseling in several states in the U.S. and I have over 20 years of work experience in the field of psychology/behavioral health to include education, counseling office, international work, and inpatient settings.
I most enjoy working with clients who have stress, anxiety, and/or trauma-related symptoms and events to work through because this is my area of my expertise.
Additionally, due to my PhD in International Psychology and my background in international humanitarian work and living abroad, I enjoying connecting with expats/immigrants as a source of support.
Taking the first step to seeking a happier and more fulfilling life takes courage and I am here to provide ideas and encouragement throughout that process. Dr. Monroe truly takes stake in the progress and needs of her clients. I always feel supported and cared about, and not judged with whatever I need to talk about

Dr Monroe is awesome. like I told her, I think we probably would've been friends if we met in real life so I feel very lucky to have connected with her on here. It did honestly take me a few tries to find the right fit but that's the wonderful thing about BetterHelp, It's OK to request a new therapist if it's not quite clicking. She is understanding, insightful, She listens, and she has advanced trauma knowledge. although we usually keep things current and topical, the discussion is informed by difficult things that happened in the past and patterns. she is sometimes funny and we do veer into girl talk sometimes. I am a very independent and strong minded person, And I have already done a ton of research on trauma , so it Takes someone special to tell me something I don't want to hear
