About me

Hi! My name is Nina and I was born and raised in Hawaii. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and have 7 years of professional work experience.
I have had a lot of experience working with people with Eating Disorders, having recovered from one myself after many years of trying. After overcoming this challenging experience, I developed a passion to work with others experiencing similar difficulties; because I know first-hand, how hard it was. In addition, I also have had experience working with people who struggle with Anxiety, Depression, OCD and a variety of other issues. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without judgment.
I understand that reaching out for help is hard and I acknowledge that; and will try my best to make it as least scary as possible. It takes courage to seek out a more fulfilling and joyful life and to take those first steps towards lasting change. I am here to support & empower you in that journey, if you will allow me! :)

I have been working with Nina going on my third month, meeting weekly and it’s become a true highlight of my week. She listens, I’ve learned some amazing new tools that I have applied to my life and overall feel like I have less anxiety and more control over situations and navigating things because of working with her! She is great!

Nina is an amazing therapist and I feel so blessed to have been able to be matched with her. It's so hard to find someone who really understands and cares in the way that she does, and I couldn't be happier with the sessions we've had. She's helped me process a lot of really tough feelings and situations during a really tough time in my life.

Nina is extremely knowledgeable and active listener. Even in just 3 sessions I see a big difference in my levels of anxiety.

Nina helped me through a stressful and difficult part of my life while I went through several life transitions. She is a great listener and actively participated in finding helpful solutions/ways to cope with stresses. I would recommend her to others going through similar life changes.
