Noel Sicat, LCSW
About me
Hi! My name is Noël and I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of Oregon, with 10+ years of post grad school experience, and 4 years prior. I achieved my Masters of Social Work at Loma Linda University, and completed a post-graduate school Social Work Fellowship at Yale University.
I want to help you with whatever situation you are facing. We all need support sometimes, and I know that taking these first steps to finding the help you need are some of the hardest. Everyone deserves to be truly heard and their life journey to be respected.
I have had experience in working with clients who struggle with symptoms of Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, Bipolar disorder, psychosis, personality disorders and other mood disorders and symptoms. I have worked with clients on building self knowledge, self-esteem and understanding; and finding value in their life and personal journey.
My preferred modality for treatment is a combination of Existentialism and utilizing strategies and education through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. However, rest assured that I work with a client centered approach, so we will be discussing options for treatment and reviewing all evidence-based options for therapy based on your individual needs and find your best fit.
I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgement. Taking the first step to sign up for therapy can take courage and I am proud of you for getting started!
