Olivia Cornwell, LCSW
About me
Hello there! My name is Olivia and I'm a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). I believe that people are incredible, resilient, and so deserving of love and opportunities to change, no matter who they are or where their lives have led them. I'm grateful to be in this field where I can be a witness and support to others and what they are going through. Being able to connect with and trust a therapist is so important, so I'd like to share some information about myself and my professional experience, in order to help you decide if I might be a good fit as your counselor.
I have been working as a social worker for the past six years, providing individual and group therapy (in-person and online) in outpatient, inpatient, and school settings. I've worked with clients dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, abuse, and various relationship and family issues. I choose to use a client-centered approach and focus my services on what my client needs most. Life can be really challenging, and I want my clients to know that they don't have to go through these hard things alone. I have training in Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness and am continually working to increase my knowledge and expertise.
I hope the best for you on your mental health journey and would be honored to be a part of it!
