It's early in my therapy, but as we've met 3x, Dr. Vang has allowed me to express my concerns and what my initial focus was, while encouraging me to expand my goals to include the core of repeat therapy over the years. She's encouraged me to get to the center, learn why, redirect and heal. I'm a work in progress and as anything that's worth having, I have to put in the effort. Dr. Vang is my guide and provides structure and redirection. She allows me to carry the stones away from the wall I'd built and spend as much time chipping away at each as I need without getting lost or feeling like I'm carrying the same ones back and forth. Dr. Vang helps me to find my inner empowerment. To truly build belief and confidence where there was very little. One day, I will be able to get beyond that wall. Until then, I'm thankful for Dr. Vang's encouragement, sometimes hard questions, and her presence as she guides me on this journey to healing and acceptance.
