About me
Hello and Welcome! Seeking counseling and opening up to a total stranger takes courage and can be scary. Give yourself a pat on the back for coming here.
My approach is client-centered, which means it’s all about you. I do not have a pre-conceived agenda or formula. I will listen to your concerns and ask you what your goals are, and we’ll start there. If you aren’t even sure about your goals, that’s ok too, we’ll work together to sort things out. My approach is warm, caring and genuine. I will not give pat answers or advice. You probably have already heard them all. Instead, I will work with you to look at what needs to change and provide support as you work on those changes. We will work together as you work on the issues that brought you here.
I have experience with many areas of concern, such as depression, stress, family issues, coping with health issues, abuse and trauma, grief and loss. I have a vast background in child mental health and working/consulting with parents who seek help with parenting. I am also a Registered Nurse (although this is not a medical site). I mention I’m a nurse as the two careers have given me amazing opportunities to work with people in a wide variety of settings. The best part of my Nursing career was Hospice nursing, where I learned to be a great listener as I walked with families through some of their most difficult moments.
I have a Masters in Social Work (MSW) from Wayne State University in Detroit Michigan, and I currently live in Michigan. You can message me anytime of the day/night through the BetterHelp site. I check messages 3-4 times a day Monday through Friday and will get back to you as soon as possible. Having said that, please let me know if my schedule does not fit your needs and I will try to work out a time that works for the both of us.

I always feel heard. I appreciate the safe emotional space to explore my issues.

Pam is so compassionate and was always willing to hear me out. She listened to me when I needed to vent and she also had helpful input. She would give me practical "homework" to help me continue thinking on difficult topics after our sessions.
I also really appreciated the tone of her voice.
Thank you, Pam ♡

Pam was there for me when I really needed a helping hand. She was kind and calm, yet directed me into the right path for myself, reminded me there are, most of the time, options in life, it’s not all black and white. She was great in teaching wise softness, and less judgement.

Pam is exactly the combination of empathetic and instructive that I need. I appreciate her expertise and her ability to weed through all my conversation to help me choose the themes I need to focus on to heal.

Pam is absolutely incredible. She supported me through the hardest year of my life and I will never forget it. She was there for me during my really difficult low times and celebrated with me during my highs. I would look forward to our sessions and always feel better afterwards. I am so grateful to have been able to work with her and I will carry the things she has taught me forever.

Pam gives me space to figure out what the best solution is, which is beneficial for my recovery from codependent behavioural patterns.
