About me

I am licensed in Idaho with 8 years of professional work experience. My passion is helping people grow and find the healing and wholeness they desire. I have experience in helping clients with trauma and abuse, coping with grief and loss, relationship issues, parenting issues, & motivation, self esteem, and confidence. In addition, I have experience working with Foster and Adoptive families as well as personally being a foster and adoptive mom. In addition, as a Christian, I offer faith based and Biblically based counseling for those who want counseling from that prespective. I also understand there is a lot of church hurt and people struggling with areas in their faith. I provide a safe place to work through and heal from those hurts as well.

I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. I believe that you are the expert of your story and I take an approach of meeting you where you are. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, solution focused and client centered strength based approach to help you make the forward movement in the direction you want to go.

I will say, Pam Gerdes is a rockstar therapist. I appreciate her experience and how she listens to the things I say, is able to read my expressions, hears those things not said, and helps me to feel seen and heard. I appreciate her knowledge and sharing of tools and techniques to help me understand my past trauma and insecurity from my first marriage. Pam has helped walk me through tools that apply to situations I’ve been in, to better understand how to re-wire and re-learn, healthier responses and perspectives (and being more curious) in my current relationship. I also appreciate Pam’s Christian beliefs and how they apply to what I’m going through in becoming a better husband, father, and human being.
I’m grateful to have Pam as my therapist and the growth (and accountability) I’ve felt and realized has been tremendous.

My therapist makes me feel heard and seen. She sends relevant messages and words of encouragement when I’m not able to commit to appointments and I’m so thankful to have her in my corner of life.
