Coming into this, I felt as if I was already very aware of the things that held me back but although I had a good understanding, the perspectives and exercises that has been provided to me has allow me to understand that it is very important to always learn with an open mind and realize there is always room for growth and improvement

She is one of the best listeners I’ve ever met. She gives good guidance that not only challenges me spiritually but also on every other aspect of my life. She is more like a friend and a mentor than just a plain counselor.

Dr. Sterling not only listens to me, but she gives it to me straight. I told her early on that I needed her to tell me how it really is, not what I want to hear. She has done that and I truly believe that with her help, I’m on the right path to living my best life in a healthy way.

She is very caring and has this way of explaining things that doesn’t allow me to feel incompetent. Even though we go thru struggles and know it’s bad for us we may not realize it. Or if we do we don’t want to give in. But Dr.Sterling allows me to see and I appreciate her for that

Dr Sterling is a breath of fresh air. She always goes above and beyond to not only help me, but she also shares things that she has tried and/or uses and knows works. She's so understanding and truly tries to help with every single concern you may have in life.

Dr Sterling wasn't my first choice. After signing up with Better help, I was scheduled to meet with another therapist and on the day of my first session they cancelled, claiming that I would benefit more from in person therapy. Not saying that they are incorrect, but someone in need, especially struggling with abandonment and low self worth, not even having an initial session was seriously impactful to my well being. But after being reassigned to Dr Sterling, I am glad that I was given the opportunity to connect with a professional that has shown me a great deal of compassion and insight from our first few sessions. Although the results will come with time, Dr Sterling makes being vulnerable and open easy. She is a great listener and gives great insights to your thinking and speaking. I feel at home with Dr Sterling, and using this platform to connect with someone that may not be local, where there is a waiting list or someone who is in financial need, Dr Sterling and Betterhelp is a great resource for those who want to get to work on themselves RIGHT NOW. Thank you Betterhelp and Dr Sterling for helping me get to work on years of therapy that has been missing from my life.
