Patricia Hawkins, LPC
About me
I have been working in the field of mental health for nearly 25 years, doing Assertive Community Treatment at first, then case management, and now mental health therapy for the past ten years. My passion is to work with those who struggle with both mental health and addiction issues. I have a Masters degree is counseling/psychology from Michigan State University, and this has allowed me to work in the field as a Licensed Professional Counselor, both as a supervisor and most recently as a direct service provider for mental health services.
My approach very much depends on the needs of my clients, and I strive to collaborate with them along the way, to ensure a more positive outcome. I have worked with clients who have issues of anxiety, depression, anger, personality and marriage conflict, relationship, stress, stage of life issues, and addictions, among others. My style is collaborative and solution focused, with treatment plans based on client centered plans, always directed by the client and their learning styles.
I have loved my work in the field of mental health and I have enjoyed the benefit of getting to know the wonderful people who seek mental health services to improve the quality of their lives.

So I've been through three sessions with my therapist now, and I have to say, I highly recommend her and she's well versed in multiple disciplines and multiple fields and understands a lot of things. I'd highly recommend her for anybody dealing with relationship issues, social issues, anxiety or depression issues, etc.

I love her patients in getting to know me. I’ve had 3 sessions and it feels like although she is learning the worse parts of me she values and encourages the beauty in me.
