Percy Ford, LPC
About me
I am a licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Tennessee. I was first licensed in 2010. I received my masters degree in Professional Counseling from Argosy University Nashville in December 2007. Prior to that I graduated from Tuskegee University in 1997 with a degree in Social Work. While at Tuskegee University, I lettered in football for three years and was an all conference defensive lineman. I have worked in a variety of areas that include inpatient treatment settings for adolescent sex offenders and for alcohol and drug addictions. I provided sex offender treatment therapy for 10 years and have worked with families and individuals in private practice since 2012. I often use a variety of models in serving clients but prefer person centered and psycho dynamic treatment models coupled with CBT as my primary models. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities such as a fishing, hunting, hiking, camping, gardening and raising my beagle hounds.

Reviews
These quotes represent just a few of the many positive reviews that we have received for Percy Ford. We don't pay anyone to provide their review and they are all made voluntarily. Some people's experience receiving therapy with BetterHelp might be different.
Percy is an excellent therapist. It’s so nice to have someone to talk with with a background in counseling, to whom I can present my inner self. I trust Percy as a counselor and also enjoy seeing him like a friend. I would say he offers 9 parts listening to 1 part advice, but I would also consider the advice to be more of a redirection/encouragement of goals that you present. I strong recommend him to anyone lucky enough to get him as a therapist.
